The Hitching Post is a timeless, western style barn nestled in the countryside of Port Clinton Ohio, surrounded by 22 acres of wetlands that directly overlooks a beautiful one acre pond. The venue was built by our family, originally, for our own wedding. After many requests, we decided to open our doors and share this special location with our community. The Hitching Post boasts a charming, private, countryside venue— perfect for intimate celebrations.

A deposit of half of the rental fee is due at time of signing to book your date. The deposit is non-refundable. The final balance is due 30 days prior to your event.
A Special Event Insurance policy for $1,000,000.00 must be obtained and provided to The Hitching Post 30 days prior to the event.
Professional bartender must have Liquor Liability Insurance and proof must be provided 30 days prior to the event.
All vendors must be licensed and insured.
Festivities must conclude at 12 am.
